I wanted lilies on Easter, but we came in the night before and I didn't have time to go to the grocery store. People began piling in and the food was piling high. Some of the last people to come were Lindsey and Shannon. Guess what they brought with them...some beautiful lilies!

Then, right before I ran the marathon, I thought that I wanted some flowers to commemorate this event. The day before the marathon, the doorbell rings and it's a florist with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my parents!

In Hawaii, Brock, who still remembers that stupid comment I made in college, bought me not one but two leis!

Last Friday, right before I ran, I thought that it would be nice to have some flowers on the table for the chocolate tasting that night. As I ran, there were literally fields of daisies. This one was the best! It was truly special when the Lord used precious people in my life to deliver the flowers to me, but this time is was straight from His hand to mine.

I love that! I'm not a huge flower person either, but every now and then it's just what you need to feel especially happy. I think I love the daisies the most. :)
ReplyDeleteHey, we're allowed to change our mind, we're Women!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome picture--the Easter lilies with the 3 crosses as a backdrop. Wow! You're good, Auny.
ReplyDeleteLove you

I love fresh flowers. I liked your flower stories.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things to do is to pick wildflowers. I have been doing it since I was a very young girl. Of course, at times I have been told that some of my "finds" were just weeds--but they were pretty to me!
ReplyDeleteI think that there are times that every woman needs flowers!
