My family and I are spending this week in Galveston. Even though it is not swimming weather, I still spend a lot of time on the beach. Thursday, I walked or ran on the beach from morning until late afternoon. Yesterday, I took my camping chair down on the sand and plopped down to do my Bible study.
I am doing a Beth Moore Bible study on the life of Paul. Yesterday, I was on the part when Paul is on the sea and a violent storm comes up. Fittingly, the waters looked very rough. She began talking about going through storms in our lives and using metaphors with waves and the ocean. There I sat with a live illustration.
I began to pray that the Lord would bring us out of the storms we have been going through this year and bring on the healing in 2011. As I prayed, I felt that peace. Not only peace, but the clouds parted ever so slightly and sun beamed down on a small slice of the beach right where I was sitting. It seemed like the Lord did that just for me! This demonstration gave me much hope, and I will remember that Bible study time forever.

Love that.
Not only did it "seem" like the Lord had done that just for you--I think He DID that just for you. He honors the faithful. Love you so much!
