Here we had breakfast
Best fish tacos I've ever had were here
Of course, we found a chocolate place!
We watched the sunset while we ate here
This was a great little taco stand, too.
This was a Mediterranean place
They had fresh, crazy fruit everywhere
Hawaiian shaved ice is NOT snow cone. It's much better!
Another taco stand. They were everywhere.
We had some great sushi here!
We had coconut shrimp here.
We ate at this burger joint with some unexpected company. Some friends from college happened to be at Kauai at the same time!!!
Here, we got fish...we had a lot of fish in Kauai
A very unique mexican place
This is macadamia nut pie. Macadamia nuts were everywhere! I loved it!

Kauai---Animals and Fish
Monk Seal
Albatross
Chickens were everywhere! It sounded like we were on a farm. They said that a tornado came through and all the chickens were let loose. They don't have any predators.

Hawaii---Waterfalls
Opaekaa Falls
A waterfall we found when we went to the wettest place on Earth
Wailua Falls
Queens Bath Falls. This one poured right into the ocean.
I think this is the most amazing waterfall in the world! Pictures and videos could not capture it!

Hawaii---Beaches
Okay, I finally have my Hawaii pics and videos together...
Salt Pond Beach. They actually harvest salt here.
These rocks are lava rocks and they are everywhere on Kauai.
We found out that they used to use this area as their dump. The glass got so beat up on the rocks that they were ground down.
The Napali Coast
We found a little surfers beach that we had to kind of sneak through a gate to get to...
It was worth it, though. There was nobody for miles.
There were beaches everywhere and we would drive on some of them with our 4 wheel drive.
The lighthouse
This is called Queen's Bath because the water comes into these areas of rocks and forms a "bath."
Hanalei Bay
Tunnels Beach. The reason they call it that is because there are tunnels underneath the corral reef.
Kee Beach (view from a hike along the Napali Coast).

Flower Delivery
Years ago, I made the mistake of telling Brock that I really didn't want flowers because eventually they died. Well, he hasn't forgotten that comment! Lately, I've been feeling a little taken for granted (you know how we as women can get). Don't get me wrong. Brock knows that he's the one who gets all the accolades, and he is very good about making me feel appreciated. However, for whatever reason, I wanted flowers lately. You can't tell someone to buy you flowers, so I simply whispered my desire for flowers to the Lord.
I wanted lilies on Easter, but we came in the night before and I didn't have time to go to the grocery store. People began piling in and the food was piling high. Some of the last people to come were Lindsey and Shannon. Guess what they brought with them...some beautiful lilies!
Then, right before I ran the marathon, I thought that I wanted some flowers to commemorate this event. The day before the marathon, the doorbell rings and it's a florist with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my parents!
In Hawaii, Brock, who still remembers that stupid comment I made in college, bought me not one but two leis!

Last Friday, right before I ran, I thought that it would be nice to have some flowers on the table for the chocolate tasting that night. As I ran, there were literally fields of daisies. This one was the best! It was truly special when the Lord used precious people in my life to deliver the flowers to me, but this time is was straight from His hand to mine.

Pics from Chocolate Tasting #1
This is Brock's mom on the zipline! Brock gets his personality from his dad, but his daredevilness is straight from mom!

Chocolate Tasting #2
Does anyone recognize this guy? It's Peter Cetera, the lead singer of "Chicago," and he was at the chocolate tasting last night! Isn't that cool? He was talking to me about the chocolate and one of my friends said, "Do you know who you were just talking to?" I love "Chicago," and he loved the chocolate! He talked with Brock a little while about the chocolate, too.
This was the real star of last night. This is Liam. He has down syndrome and he's the cutest thing (go to http://jeremythiessen.typepad.com/ to read more about Liam). All in all, 66 people came last night, and $3,000 was raised for Liam. What a great night!
