All Day Work

Yesterday, we brought our pick-up truck and big rig to town in order to clean out the trailer and set up the new equipment. When I called to see where Brock was, he said that he had picked up someone who had run out of gas and was taking him to the next station. This is not very unusual for Brock. He's such a good guy.

When we got all ready to set up our new lights, Brock asked me to get his toolbox. It was missing. Brock put it in one of our storage bays under the truck. It happened to be the storage bay that broke. Somehow, the toolbox fell out on the highway somewhere. I could tell that it frustrated Brock. That's the new toolbox that he got to replace his old one that was stolen last December.

However, we did make good progress. I worked on eliminating some cases by moving things around and such in order to make room for the new equipment. Brock, Stephy, and a couple of guys from our office worked on setting up the new lights and such. It was an all day job, but we accomplished what we wanted to accomplish. It felt good to be a little sweaty and dirty. Everybody needs that once in a while!

Oh, Auny, that's such a bummer. The hits just keep on comin', right? Well, if you get weary, call me any time and I'll listen :)

ok. good news about the tools. i found them.

heres what happened. i asked lewis, one of our workers, to get the tool box from the shop and put it in the truck. he got the wrong tool box. i thought that we had lost the new toolbox but in fact it was at home in the shop. i figured all of this out last night as i was retracing the events. i checked this morning to see if i was right about my theory. i was right, and i feel better now.
