The Star of Bethleham

I watched a very interesting video last night. It's about the Star of Bethleham. Rick Larson did a ton of research using modern technology to find out about the star that guided the wisemen. Some of the most interesting things I learned was that the wisemen could have possibly come from Daniel's influence. There were good magi (from the east) and bad magi (from the west). They are described as magi from the east which were the good ones influenced by Daniel. (Magi comes from magician. Daniel was considered to be a magician. In fact, Brock has read about Daniel in some of his historical magic books.)

Also, the stars told the story about the conception, birth, and death of Christ. It's so complicated to talk about here but you should research this website. It's amazing!

Back in Jesus' day, most people slept on the roof because it was quieter and cooler. What did they look at while laying in bed at night...the stars. Therefore the Lord communicated to them through the stars. In Psalm 19:1-4, it says, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world." Also, Paul says in Romans 10:17-18, "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. But I ask: Did they [the Jews] not hear? Of course they did: 'Their voice has gone out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.'" He was referring back to Psalms which is talking about the stars. I am not doing it justice, but all I know is that our Lord is so symbolic. Also, He amazes me more and more each day!
