YEC in Louisiana

Today, we performed at a Youth Evangelism Conference in Alexandria, LA. I felt badly for the promotors of the event because they had so many problems. Normally, they hold the event for three days in an arena. However, this year, they have hurricane evacuees in the arena. All of the hotels in the area are booked up with evacuees. Therefore, they had to move it to a much smaller venue for one day only. They crammed over 4,000 people in this smaller venue. Plus, the air conditioner went out as well as a water main broke leaving everyone hot with no place to go to the bathroom. Still, the crowd seemed to be in good spirits and had a good time.

A couple of Brock's cousins, our good friends Brian and Stephanie and their children, and Brock's parents attended to the show. Plus, a group from the tiny town that Brock grew up in were there. It was good to see everyone.

Now, it's about midnight and Brian and Steph just left. We are at Brock's parents' house and I'm about to go to sleep for as long as I can...I'm tired.

Tell Brock that Nickey Daniels( Danny Daniels) cousin said he did a wonderful job at YEC maybe he could come to hi good old home town Saline where I live and perform at Magnolia Baptist Church sometime. Tell him that Mrs.Satcher and Mrs.Fair said hello also. Another thing it was great seeing him do something with his life....
