i'm not agree with that verse in particular hahahaha. I'll explain you why:

I don't like it because i think God hear everyone, i think God is in everywhere and we don't have to join a group so God can hear you.
What happen if you are alone in the desert, and you ask for help to God.... He won't listen because is just 1 person..???
The verse say where 2 or more claim my name, i'll be there. But if i clame His name every night, every time i need Him and every time i want to talk to Him. He won't be there??? he won't listen??... I think He is here right now with me seeing what i'm saying and He hear me even when i don't claim his name. He is attentive in my troubles and in my life. And everybody's.

Is what i think. I respect your thinking.

This verse doesn't mean that God doesn't hear you if you pray alone. It simply promotes the practice of corporate (group) prayer, and illustrates how powerful it is when we add prayer to prayer and ask God together for the things we need. More than anything, I see it as God's way of encouraging a support system among believers. He is always there for us, but also desires for us to have other believers to lean on and pray with. It's just one more gift to us from Almighty God.
