Cocoa Tree Night

Yesterday, the traffic around town was terrible! Plus, it was raining, so we decided to pick up some stuff at the grocery store and make tacos at the girls' house. Seven of us ate together there. Then, we went to the Cocoa Tree to meet up with everyone else. It's down the street from their house.

There were 21 of us that got together at the Cocoa Tree for one last hang out night before we all dispersed for Christmas. It was fun! We took over the back room as usual.

Later that night, we went out on the deck behind the Cocoa Tree to watch our friend, Lindsey, eat fire. She had her fire eating debut with us right there at the Cocoa Tree. Since it was cold and rainy off and on, we were the only ones outside...we thought. So, we screamed and clapped after Lindsey ate her first stick of fire. A couple of our friends noticed that across the yard, a guy had just asked a girl to marry him. He was down on one knee with a ring. I guess that she said "yes" just as we were yelling for Lindsey for the first time because our friend who saw it said that she thought the applaud was for her. After we realized what was going on, all 20 of us directed our attention to the newly engaged couple and yelled, "Congratulations!"

It's so bizarre that us and the couple were the only people out there and we began clapping at the exact same moment that she said "Yes!" We have some interesting times on Cocoa Tree Night!
